I am applying to the Kent state regement language academy. Its is a 4 week program that teaches you semetic languages. You can learn Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, or Russian. i have narrowed it down to Arabic or Japanese but i can not choose. When i graduated in 2009 i plan to attend a college in NY. I either plan to major in journalism or international business affairs. Whatever I do i plan to be involved in language. Which language should I take to furthur myself now and when I am older attending college in NY and planning my future????
though i am leaning more towards International bussiness rather than journalism.

Japanese, but Arabic would be good too
ask yourself which region (middle east or japan) peeks your interest more? where do you most desire to travel to? is it japanese or arab food that makes you salivate? are you most likely to work in the oil industry or the automobile/consumer electronics industry. list as many as possible, then make your choice.
Arabic will be more usefully
there are little who know this language
Arabic will give you the future you want
Arabic is one of the most in demand languages in the world today. You will have many opportunities in journalism, business, or in the government with that language skill. That would be my recommendation. Our interests in that region won’t be waning anytime soon.
Japanese!
Technological leaders, rich culture and history, and still widely used in the U.S.A.
Plus…it sounds cool!!! = D
learn japanese .so you can ask them why they wish to continue killing the whales and eating them, gross, horrible, whats the matter with those people?ask them what is there problem.OK?
neither.
