ok, i have a lexus and one of my friends left the door open so that the light was on overnight. In the past this has run down the battery but today it drove my to work and back fine (about a 40 minute drive total on the highway). Is that enough to recharge the battery fully or is the battery still weak/ could my car die sometime in the near future..
I don;t know whether to spend $ 2000 on Scuba Gear, or save it for the future for things like uni or a car? I have been thinking about it for a while and just need an outside opinion. Thanks
another thing is that i really enjoy scuba diving and i really want my own gear, and i don’t want to continue waisting my money renting gear whan i can have my own. If i have my own then i can go out with the dive club for about $ 20, instead of $ 100 with the local store. I really am not sure.
im talking about in, 50-60 years? i know u can rent now, i just wanna know if u can rent in the future? like rent anything, homes cars maybe even luxury, etc. proper answers please

What are you talking about? Pesonally, I will be dead in 50 to 60 years. I don’t see why I would not be able to rent if I were alive though.
Is there some basis for your question???
I don’t see why not. If people can profit from it, chances are , they will do it, even if its illegal.
People have been tenants of landlords for centuries, unless there is a major cataclysmic event that effects the entire planet that is not going to change.
Uni will be an investment for your future, a car will deprecate in value and scuba diving gear will give you a lot of fun and excitement.
1. Uni
2. Scuba gear
3. car
Since you drove your car around without a problem, I’m sure the battery is fine. The previous event won’t cause the battery to go dead now that it has started the car and charged from the alternator at least twice.
You don’t tell us how old your car is. If it’s more than 5 years old, you should be prepared to replace the battery anyway. If it helps you feel better, you might have it tested–but I would expect that the result of the test has more to do with the age of the battery than your recent incident.
The alternator is designed to charge the battery; it must charge the battery because starting the car significantly drains the battery. The alternator and charging system aren’t designed to charge the battery from a nearly dead condition, but since you’ve only done this once you’re not abusing your car. Further, since your car started, your battery wasn’t significantly drained.
I’m surprised that your Lexus doesn’t have a chime or a system that turns off the interior lights after they’ve been on for some time. You might check your owner’s manual or call Lexus customer service to check on that; perhaps this feature of your car is present and isn’t working correctly.
you’ll need to recharge the battery. The alternator(charging system) on the car is not designed to recharge a battery, but to maintain it. By driving with a weak or low battery you’re taxing the charging system more than you should, and if you do this a lot you’ll shorten the life of your alternator….which cost a few hundred bucks to replace
u can get charging system check at reputable shop/charging system/starting system,it will let u know what condition your battery is in
if your charging system is in good shape and battery not that old it should be fine
Yea, the battery is great.
