Often see in phone boxes in big cities business cards for ladies of the night…..I wondered if I could incorporate this into a cache. If I lived in the big city that had such ads it would be interesting to make such a card of a scantily clad lady with the geocaching logo covering her…..lungs… But then of course there’s always the danger that kids might come and find your geocache, so bear this in mind. Although there is an attribute on the popular geocaching website that states the cache is “unsuitable for children”… For those of you that want to copy this idea I used www.callinbox.com I love multi caches, they really allow you to think outside the box. I’ve got some other good ideas, might spend this week building some more caches. Thanks for watching
Hi all,
Now I have just been a little silly, I had already purchased save the date cards but tonight while browsing I found save the date magnets on sale for a very cheap price and couldn’t help myself! Now I don’t want to waste either one, the first ones are formal looking C6 size cards and the magnets are business card size and also formal looking. Both match our colour scheme.
Would it be ok for me to put both in the envelope, so one can be the formal invitation and the other can be used as sort of a reminder they can stick on their fridge?
Thanks in advance.
And p.s. yes I know I need to practice some self control and stop looking at things I’ve already ordered ![]()
Both have our names printed on them. And I don’t really intend on getting married again (otherwise I wouldn’t bother getting married in the first place) so I’d rather not save things for another wedding.

If you have both, might as well send both. It’s not like it will be offensive. But…save the date cards are mostly insignificant, people don’t care about them. Just let it be known that most of those formal cards will be in the garbage soon and those magnets may never make it onto a fridge. And this is a lesson for wedding planning going into the future. Be careful not to get carried away with the little details that don’t matter so much, guests don’t care and you will only stress out yourself and your budget. Keep this in mind when it comes to wedding favours, for one.
A save the date card will not serve as an invitation, an invitation needs to follow.
This is still confusing, but if you’re asking if the save the date card can be sent in the same envelope as the invite, the answer is sure, you can do it, but it will look odd and probably generate questions. The save the dates can go out up to 6 months before the wedding, and they just give the date. The actual invite has the wording about when and where, and also who is doing the inviting and these usually go out 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding.
Also, I disagree with whoever said to send save the dates as the invite. Lots of us don’t use those magnets when we get them, and we just mark the date. If an invite never follows, then it gets awkward because they’ll wonder if they should call and ask what’s up.
I agree with whoever said it’s overkill… unfortunately, one of the consequences of lack of self-control is having to deal with all that stuff. =/ Why not send half and half to each person? Or cancel the magnets? If you only did it last night, I’m sure you would be able to cancel them (unless you bought them rushed), get your money back, and be content with your first save-the-date cards, which I’m sure is beautiful? I hope all works out. =)
I would put them both in. A lot of people lose or accidentally throw out cards. So a magnet would be a good idea. Plus it would serve as a double reminder
Its overkill. Your guests will think you are trying to send them this message: I know you will forget the date, so Im giving you not one but TWO reminders!
Why not send magnets to half the people and cards to the other half.
Im with wemb on this, save one for your second wedding.
Either get a rubber stamp and stamp pad and stamp each of the cards with THIS IS YOUR ACTUAL WEDDING INVITATION, SO DON’T WATCH THE POST, THINKING THAT THIS IS JUST A “SAVE THE DATE” MESSAGE.
Or you can save one or the other for your second marriage.
