Okay so here is my question, i live in australia
i am a pretty well rounded student in school
my grades are really high, especially in english , chemistry , biology and french
the only major subject that brings me down in math
dont get me wrong i dont suck at it, im just not up to such a high standard as my other classes
i volunteer , have a consistant part time job , play sports and am involved in many extra curriculars and speak fluent french as a second language
i realize this is what it takes to get into an Ivy, but i also know everyone else applying has the same qualifications as me
So my real question is, could i get into an Ivy in your opinion? I know math is as good as the others which could bring me down a little and that is my only class were im not in a higher level. Im in the regular class unlike my other subjects, am i better off staying in that class and doing well or moving up a level and doing not so well?
PLEASE HELP

Your shot is probably as good as any halfway serious applicant. I’m not sure whether or not International students have to take the American college aptitude tests (The ACT and/or SAT) or if you can take an Australian equivalent. Standardized test scores are huge part of your admission. You are right that you are going to have the same qualifications as everyone else at the very least. So doing well on the admissions essays is a must.

They have internet in Victoria? You learn something new everyday :D

Anyway, some schools in Australia can organise SATs for your. My previous school in Tasmania could. If your plan was to go to the United States you should have done the IB. IB is known internationally for being challenging. IB would have given you an definite above average application if you scored highly. I’m sure it’s still possible to apply with your ENTER. I’m not actually sure if you can get in, acceptance rate is around 10% What course you studying?
