on Aug 7th, 2012 and filed under I met a guy the other night at speed dating haha. We both ‘matched’ with eachother at the end of the night – although I suspect he matched with a lot of girls. We found out our matches yesterday and he still hasnt contacted me. I’ve got no credit so I cant contact him today.
This is what I was thinking of writing (I’m kind of annoyed that I have to make the first move because I think he probably picked me as a fallback option or something). Anyway this is what I wrote – please choose best option or say none if they were all bad:
OPTION 1:
Hey (his name),
it’s (my name) from the sd nite. Nice to meet u the other nite & would be cool to catch up some time. C.
OPTION 2:
Hey (his name),
it’s (my name) from the sd the other nite. Just wanted to say was gr8 meeting u & might be good to catch up some time – but im not sure if i was one of ur face matches so its all good if not & nice to meet u! C.
OPTION 3:
Hey (his name),
it’s (my name) from the sd nite. I havent had credit 4 the last few days but i figured u met someone else anyway. Just wanted to say it was nice meeting u the other nite. C.
OPTION 4:
Don’t bother sending a text – I’m very tempted to do this option.
Correction – for option 3 it should say ‘fave’ matches not ‘face’

Avoid putting yourself in a lower rank. Go with option 1. At least let him know that you remember him.
Keep it simple and short. If you have anything going for you, he will remember you and take action.
option 2 is good i feel it doesnt sound desperate,, just dnt say last line frm “But im not sur till C”
its kife ok ifound u somewhat intresting.. we can meet sometime somewhere .. if everything goes well then we will see wat else otherwise no regrets .. (and if u dnt wanna meet still never mind)

2nd one is best..
I’d go for one.
Sometimes a guy needs to be approached- he can be a little shy!
Also- some of us love playing the game and if you don’t make it fun then we lose interest!

I don’t know this is just me but I would eliminate the part about “catching up sometime.” Sounds as though you’ve known him for a while which obviously you don’t since you just met him at a speed dating service. Option one sounds ok, but drop the catching up part. Just tell him that you found him rather interesting & that you’d like to get to know a little more about him if he’s interested.
Option one is the best. Remember guys sometimes wait up to 3 days to contact a girl they like. They dont wanna seem desperate by contacting you too soon.
i think if you combined 2 and 3,
like,
Hey (his name),
it’s (your name) from the sd night. just thought we could catch up sometime if you still haven’t met anybody. it was great meeting you ! feel free to call if you want to meet up or something.
or something along those lines,
How about just saying “Hey, it was great meeting you the other night, it’d be cool to get together again sometime, let me know what you think!” And don’t use any words Like “gr8″ or type just “4″ or “u”. It’s tacking if you’re over the age of 15. Don’t send a rude message telling him not to text you, that’s lame. Just be nice, if he doesn’t say anything back – move onward and upward. Good luck.
I say option 1. Youve got nothing to lose, and maybe a great guy to win? Its worth it. Oh, but dont end with a [.] it makes it sound like youre using a brief annoyed tone. And if you add a [!] either in the first or last spot, you sound flirty and excited to be talking to him! But if you do both [!], then you sound annoying. Yaddadaimsayin? haha best of luck!
Option 1, and that correction you wrote in additional details is for option 2 not 3.. Lol, Goodluck.

option three or four. three sounds appropriate as it doesnt mention that u wanna catch up with him sometime or four because he’s a stranger that u met for a day.
Dont sit back and not do anything, at least go with option 1.
Its actually really good, it sounds mature and if i were a guy i think it would be cool and want to catch up also.

option 1, the others sound like oh hey i’m not good enough but i still wanna try. so def. do the first one.
i think probably #1, it’s straightforward and doesn’t sound like you’re trying to explain your actions to him.
