Australia has very good information technology training, but….

There are not enough jobs in information technology. Especially when it comes to software development.

There is a 14% unemployment rate amonst IT people in Australia, while general unemployment is fairly low.

If you stay ahead of the game, keep skilled, there are plenty of work opportunities in IT in Australia. But you have to work hard to get them and the salaries are low compared with somewhere like the US.

But most people like living in Australia, so why not go, enjoy the weather (Sydney and Brisbane have mild weather, not too many days that are very hot or very cold), the Aussie beer and lifestyle.
